Water cycle

The term 'Water cycle' as it applies to the area of water can be defined as 'the circuit of water movement from the oceans to the atmosphere and to the Earth and return to the atmosphere through various stages or processes such as precipitation, interception, runoff, infiltration, percolation, storage, evaporation, and transportation'.

The term 'Water cycle' as it applies to the area of reclamation can be defined as ' The movement of water from the air to and below the Earth's surface and back into the air. See hydrologic cycle'.
